EXPERIMENT INTRINSIC

Recognising art as an experiment liberates it from excessive seriousness and demands for perfection. The outcome of experimentation is knowledge from within, and what some might describe as failure is just as valuable as success, because one has expanded the awareness of one’s own abilities and deeper ideas. It is an intrinsic process for artists to experiment in order to find their way around themselves. Practice intent is to increase precision on a an existing pattern of action. Experimentation takes it outside those repetitions, to unexplored territory. Intrinsic embraces the essence of creation by sharing the very process with like-minded people; as if experimenting in one own studio, space and time. The more we learn of the process the more it become clear that the process is us.

CURATOR

Naturally active person, in 2014, Nathalia founded Experiment Intrinsic – a hidden art dimension organically blended with the visual and musical imagination. The following years were dedicated as developing the project into a dynamic and constantly evolving audio-visual platform. Starting in London, with five editions hosted at unique water reservoir venue, the project transformed into an overnight gathering at powerful sacred Mosque, and eventually expanded into a five-day festival format. In 2017, Experiment Intrinsic found its home in Dordogne, France. In 2022, the festival ventured to the Balkans of Bulgaria, anticipating the unfolding of a new chapter.

PRODUCTION SERVICES

Subtle yet expansive, introspective yet universal, we create a space for people to both collectively and individually explore the depth and richness of experience. Our offerings encompass experimental soundscapes and captivating live performances that draw inspiration from a diverse range of disciplines, including ambient, traditional and world music, early electronic, avant-garde, and contemporary genres. Utilising space and architecture as our canvas, we enhance the sensory perception with organic projection mapping. Intrinsic initially served as a platform for electronic dance music DJs to express themselves in ambient settings. The project has evolved over time to present artists from further afield, paying homage to respected figures, while shining light on the work of lesser-known.

Our team intent to help delivering chill-out floors with attention to details. By utilising our platform, network, and experience we hope to offer another dimension to events and festivals, providing service and sharing the work of curation, production, communication and logistics. Our vision puts full trust in the artists we involve. The combined audio-visual experience is intended to be truly immersive and delivered with a standard of excellence.
